Floating gracefully on the Man Sagar Lake, Jal Mahal, or the Water Palace is one of Jaipur’s most serene and beautiful structures. The palace, which appears to float on water, is a five-story building, with four levels submerged in the lake. While entry to the palace is restricted, the view from the lake’s shore is breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. The area around Jal Mahal is a popular spot for birdwatching, as migratory birds flock to the lake, adding to the scenic beauty.
